Work & Family Policy Database
The National Partnership for Women & Families has created the Work & Family Policy Database as a resource for use by the public, policymakers, researchers, advocates and the media. The database provides an overview of the bills that have been proposed and the laws that have passed in various states to address select work and family issues. The database was created in 2011 and will be updated in subsequent legislative sessions. Bills considered through 2009 can be found at the Work Family Researchers’ Network site.
This database catalogues bills that apply to private-sector workers.

This database provides short summaries of bills and statutes. The summaries are not intended to constitute legal advice. To find out how laws relate to your particular situation, you must contact a lawyer who specializes in employees’ rights, the Labor Department’s Wage and Hour Division (1-866-4USWAGE), your state labor department and/or your union.
