Why Engage with the Media?

Effective media outreach is a powerful tool. Used strategically, it allows you to shape news and online coverage, influence the stories developed by reporters and producers, and send powerful messages that educate the public, shape opinion and affect the views of policymakers.

With the right information, more people will demand coordinated, patient- and family-centered care. Engaging the media and educating the public about the experiences of people with multiple health problems and their family caregivers is key to ensuring that reform is implemented in ways that will matter most.
