"GOP Candidates in Texas Say Pregnant, Brain Dead Woman Should Have Been Kept on Life Support," Mike Rivera, Center for American Progress' "ThinkProgress": "[F]our Republican candidates in Texas' Lieutenant Governor race [recently] fought to prove their conservative credentials" by "condemn[ing] a Texas judge's recent decision to allow Marlise Muñoz, a brain dead pregnant woman, to be removed from life support," Rivera writes. He adds, "Each trying to prove themselves more conservative than each other, every candidate also took a strong stance against abortion, even in cases of rape or incest" (Rivera, "ThinkProgress," Center for American Progress, 1/29).
