Planned Parenthood of Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma v. Cline

Federal court challenge to an Oklahoma Department of Health decision to exclude Planned Parenthood from the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program, which provides food and resources to low-income pregnant women, new mothers, and children. In December 2012, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma denied Planned Parenthood’s request for a temporary injunction. Final Outcome: In February 2013, the parties agreed to dismiss the case with prejudice, meaning that the case cannot be refiled, and the state is not required to renew its WIC contract with Planned Parenthood.
